A California Road Trip to Remember – Senior Year Adventures & Travel Planning Inspiration

This past month, my daughter and I hit the road for a California adventure to celebrate her upcoming senior year—and it was nothing short of unforgettable! As both a travel advisor and photographer, this trip was a dream come true.

She had her heart set on visiting Salvation Mountain for a unique senior photo session, and from there, I built an epic 9-day itinerary that took us across 1,700 miles of California magic—from San Francisco to Palm Springs.

We explored the iconic Pacific Coast Highway, marveled at the Golden Gate Bridge, soaked in the energy of Los Angeles and Hollywood, spent a full day riding rides and indulging in treats at Disneyland and California Adventure, and chased sunsets in both Sunset Beach and Joshua Tree National Park.

We watched surfers ride the waves in Huntington Beach, listened to sea lions and went whale watching in Monterey, and enjoyed some of the best seafood California has to offer. From the rugged coastline to vineyards, farmland, and the quiet beauty of the desert—California delivered unforgettable views and experiences at every turn.
