My birthday is approaching, and I know I likely won't top last years! Hey, that's ok! I make the most of any birthday! But, last year I got to swim with pigs on a Caribbean Island on my actual birthday! This was a definite "bucket list" item! I had traveled to the Bahamas before but never experienced Exuma! Let me tell you, it DID NOT disappoint! And I'm getting to visit again in a couple of weeks (late birthday for me and a travel agent trip). I'm beyond excited and going to have training on some new exciting stuff to share with clients!
Often times I hear, not the Bahamas, when I'm working on destinations for clients! Exuma is not Nassau or cruise ship ports! Exuma is so much more with its white sand beaches, turquoise waters that are prettier than most I've seen, very relaxing, slow paced, and so uninhabited! If you are into the night sky, it's an ideal location for star gazing! The downside is you might need to unplug as cell service can have issues or did on my last trip. Perfect for most if you're into relaxing and recharging!

Back to my birthday trip! This trip was my first to experience flying first class and my first two Sandals resorts! First class is definitely wonderful, and I enjoyed that early morning mimosa!
We toured Sandals Royal Bahamian, and our stay was at Sandals Emerald Bay! Each are beautiful properties! Every Sandals resort offers the same type service and experience but each resort is different in a good way! They are both adult only all inclusive resorts! Excellent food and drinks, great pools and entertainment, and watersports are included! I experienced some extra touches while having a birthday on property and was completely surprised!
I'm a foodie so I have to share some of the incredible meals we enjoyed! I always look forward to the meal options at Sandals and Beaches resorts!
Sandals resorts has Island Routes for excursions! Hands down, they are some of the best excursions I've done, and I've done a lot! Most think the swimming with pigs is just that. However, it's so much more! We got to see the iguana island, hold a stingray in the water, snorkel a blue hole, see a blow hole, and the area where the Caribbean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean! So cool!
