From Waterfalls to Wild Monkeys: Why Costa Rica Should Be Next

Costa Rica was the true definition of pura vida! 🇨🇷 From the warm and welcoming locals to the absolutely exquisite cuisine, every moment was unforgettable.

We spent the week in a stunning villa with a private pool, surrounded by lush greenery and breathtaking ocean views. One of the highlights? A private chef experience — fresh local ingredients, a decadent four-course meal, and he even handled all the cleanup. It was next-level luxury and something I highly recommend adding if it's available in your destination!

We also sailed on a sunset catamaran cruise, where the staff made sure no glass was ever empty. They even reeled in four yellowfin tuna during the ride! We spotted countless dolphins, snorkeled near a secluded beach, and watched the sun dip below the horizon — pure magic. 🌅🐬

Another favorite moment? Hiking to a waterfall where we encountered wild howler monkeys — one of them loudly making it clear he was king of the jungle! 🐒💦

We also spent time strolling through town, trying one incredible restaurant after another. The food scene did not disappoint, and the area was very walkable and felt completely safe. As a travel advisor (and a shrimp ceviche enthusiast!), I couldn’t resist trying it at every restaurant we visited—four times in just one week! 🦐 Each version was completely unique and absolutely delicious. It’s one of my favorite ways to taste the local flavor while exploring new destinations!
